Our team is made up of vintage lovers, creative minds, and all-around incredible people who bring their unique flair to both our UES and UWS locations. Whether they’re curating the racks, crafting the perfect playlist, or running the behind-the-scenes magic, each team member has their own story to tell. Meet Nichole –
The powerhouse behind The Niche Shop, Nichole is the heart and soul of both locations. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she’s built The Niche Shop from the ground up in NYC, creating a space that feels like home for shoppers and employees alike. Her prized vintage possession? A red leather fringe jacket that instantly upgrades any outfit. When she’s not running the shop, you’ll find her cozied up with her two black cats (the cutest little besties), exploring the city with her husband, or trying out a new UES restaurant. Her shop aux pick? This Is Taylor Swift—because, obviously. Her Italian charm picks? I ❤️ NY, Heart My Cat, Boss.
Meet Nick –
Resident handyman, finance guru, HR lead, and operations whiz, Nick is the glue behind the scenes. Originally from just outside of Philly, his love for vintage started with a blue paisley-print blazer from Crowley Vintage—one of the first pieces he ever thrifted with Nichole. If he were an Italian charm bracelet? A black cat (his favorite animal), an NYC apple (because, obviously), and a golf ball (his favorite pastime). His shop aux pick? Tame Impala Radio. Cat or dog person? Cat. Dream day off? Anywhere in the world with Nichole—bonus points if it involves a long stroll through Central Park.
Meet Reagan –
Better known as RKM, Reagan is the manager at the UES location, handling inventory, e-commerce, and anything Nichole throws her way. Originally from St. Louis, she has an eye for iconic vintage—her current favorite finds? A YSL Mombasa zebra bag and a Gucci x Tom Ford ‘98 monogram slip. If she were an Italian charm bracelet, she’d be Virgo (because she’s a Virgo through and through), a shopping charm (obviously), and a poodle charm (for her childhood bestie, Diesel). Her shop aux pick? Lemonade and Homecoming—because it’s Beyoncé or bust. Though she used to be a cat skeptic, her BFF’s cat, Lulu, changed her mind. Days off? Laughing with her best friend, Meredith.
Meet Claire –
As the manager of our UWS location, Claire also leads influencer marketing and events, bringing her eye for style and community to everything she does. Originally from Skaneateles, NY, Claire recently scored her first-ever vintage designer bag, a long-awaited teal Prada hobo she treasures. Her Italian charm bracelet? Pisces fish (for her star sign), evil eye (for good vibes only), and a fairy (because a little magic never hurts). Her shop aux pick? A mix of Fleetwood Mac and Taylor Swift. Cat or dog person? Proud cat lover. Perfect day off? Wandering through Central Park, hunting for gems at Grand Bazaar, or cozying up with a latte at a local café.
Meet Kendall B –
Better known as KB, Kendall B is a co-social media manager and sales associate, splitting her time between both locations—though the UWS is her home base. Canadian / American, raised in Shanghai, and now thriving in NYC, she brings an eclectic flair (and a tiny shopping addiction) to the team. Her all-time favorite vintage find? A rare leather Betty Boop bomber and her collection of vintage CDs, which she plays on the Hello Kitty radio she’s had since childhood. Her shop aux pick? A dreamy mix of 70s Fleetwood Mac and throwback Ariana Grande. Italian charm bracelet? A tiny yellow teapot, a “spoiled bitch” charm, and I ❤️ to shop. Perfect day off? Hanging with friends or deep in her latest creative obsession—right now, it’s scrapbooking.
Meet Violet –
One half of the social media team, Violet juggles content creation and sales across our UES and UWS locations. Originally from D.C., she’s got one younger sister and a deep love for all things Britney Spears—so deep that her most treasured vintage find is an entire collection of vintage Britney tees. If she were an Italian charm bracelet, she’d be leopard print, cheese, and Hello Kitty (a perfect mix of fun and personality). Her shop aux pick? Charli XCX. Dog or cat person? Dog all the way. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her unwinding in the park or catching a movie.
Meet Kendall D –
Meet Kendall D - our vintage-loving traveler who splits her time between both of our locations. Originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas, she brings Southern charm and a sharp eye for the weird and wonderful to The Niche Shop. Her all-time favorite vintage find? A massive handwoven leopard tapestry she scored for just $40—complete with an eerily unsettling (but totally lovable) cat face. When she's not helping customers discover their own vintage treasures, you can find her playing 70s and 80s new wave in the shop, exploring the city, writing, or performing. As for her Italian charm bracelet? It’s got major personality—Snoopy, a clown, and, well… "bitch" (her words, not ours).
