Our collection of vintage and secondhand clothing has been hand-picked by owner @Nycnichole for its mix of quality, style and personality. That's what we're all about: clothes that make you feel like your best, unique self.

Located in the Upper East Side of NYC, The Niche Shop is a women-owned small business and a community of like-minded fashion lovers. We collaborate with local small businesses via in-store pop-ups, to foster a sense of community and provide a platform for small businesses. Our shop is more than just a place to buy vintage and secondhand clothes - it's a space where you can connect with others who share your love for sustainability, style and self-love.

What began as a touring pop-up in 2021, has quickly become one of the go-to shopping destinations for cute, quality, vintage and secondhand clothing, both in person and online.
We're on a mission to promote sustainable fashion and contribute to a circular fashion ecosystem. Shopping second-hand should be the norm, and beyond that, you should feel good - not just about the clothes you're wearing, but about the planet too.

About the Founder
Originally from the suburbs of Pittsburgh PA, Nichole moved to NYC post-college, in 2015. With a background in fashion and social media management, Nichole has always had a keen eye for personal style, and shopping secondhand. But it wasn't until she started her successful blog, NYC nichole (@nycnichole) in 2018, that she realized this could be more than just a hobby. In 2021, she started The Niche Shop, a pop-up shop selling vintage and secondhand clothing.
After 5 years of living in the Upper East Side neighborhood of New York City, she recognised the need for a permanent space and community that embraced sustainability, style and self-love - a space that didn't exist. And so, in April 2022, Nichole and her partner, Nick, opened The Niche Shop doors.
What started as a small pop-up shop, has quickly become one of the go-to shopping destinations for cute, quality, vintage and secondhand clothing, both in person and online. Nichole is on a mission to provide a curated selection of vintage and secondhand clothing that sparks joy in those who wear it, while also being good for the planet.
Nichole lives with her partner and cat, and in her spare time loves to thrift, explore the city, try new restaurants, and travel.
